Faith and grace are easy subjects to talk or write about because everyone wants to believe that if you just have faith everything will be alright. But as it says in the book of James 2:14"Faith without works is dead." True faith has to produce the proof of a true conversion by producing the gifts of the Spirit, Galatians 5:23"But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control." If these are not evident at some level then you have a dead faith or no faith at all. This is easy to talk about because it is very positive and everyone wants to believe they have it. But the Lord Jesus was very quick to point out that if a tree bore no fruit it was to be uprooted and burned. Matthew 7:19-21. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. 20 So then, by their fruit you will recognize them. 21 Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only he who does the will of My Father in heaven.

Today an unfortunate confrontation is being played out on the world stage and most people are not even aware that it is taking place. The confrontation is between the Creator and His creation, between a Holy God and a prideful sinful people. It is a collision of two worlds, one is the kingdom of men and what he has been able to achieve independent of his creator. The other is the kingdom of God Almighty who created men and women for his own pleasure along with all that is on earth. We the people are only tenants of the planet earth, God is the real owner. Psalm 24:1-2 The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it; 2 for he founded it on the sea and established it on the waters.

If God really does exist, and I personally believe that he does, and if the bible is really Gods word and I believe that it is, then we really are on a collision course with this God of the bible. It is impossible for the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob to exist and not be angry enough to destroy his own creation. Sometime ago while driving through Atlanta and noticing the new buildings and all the construction on the new freeways the Holy Spirit said something like this to me. "You see all this that man has made; well the Father is going to destroy all of it." Ten years before this while staring at the Lincoln Memorial I heard the same voice say "all this that man takes great pride in well be destroyed in a second by the Father." Then I remembered what is written in the bible.

Proverbs 16:5 Everyone who is proud in heart is an abomination to the LORD; Assuredly, he will not be unpunished. Luke 16:15 He said to them, "You are the ones who justify yourselves in the eyes of others, but God knows your hearts. What people value highly is detestable in God's sight. This is the true God, the God of scripture. God is not really a mystery because he has told us repeatedly what he expects from us his creation. The fact that men make fun of God and think they can get away with mocking him is only a fool's joke. Humanity is stubborn, no matter how many times God calls people to repent they only change for a little while then go right back to what they love best which is everything that God hates.

And no matter what is thrown at the people from this mighty God, whether it is hurricanes and fires, bombings and floods or wars and famines they will not look at God and admit that he is angry and that they might be living in the wrath of God. To them it is just satan or mother nature who is angry. Some claim that it is climate change as if God could not control the climate. But when it is a mad man holding a gun and killing dozens of people they blame the killer and claim he is mad or has just had a bad day. Then they go to church where the preacher tells them that God would never do such a thing because He loves them so much that he sent Jesus to die for them.

Trouble is that God sent Jesus to die so that they might have a chance to change and be born again and leave all the hatred and intolerance behind. Modern church people will never understand God until they start to read the bible for themselves. But this will never happen while they have preachers who just want to dig into their pockets while feeding them scraps from a beggars table. It really is so easy that a child could do it because it is already written down for your own protection in God's word the bible.

The disasters that are taking place in places like Venezuela and Puerto Rico are taking place because they never bore fruit for God. I should know being of Puerto Rican descent and having traveled both countries extensively. In both places the gospel was sown, but as it tells us in the book of Mark the fourth chapter the first three seeds never bore fruit and this brings consequences. In both these countries the gospel message was used in a worldly manner to obtain riches and beauty and live for the devil. It is strange that when disaster strikes the people never look at God as the source and the one who has all the answers but blame man or nature as if by doing so they can get rid of this God who they profess to believe in.

Mark 4:15-20 Some people are like seed along the path, where the word is sown. As soon as they hear it, Satan comes and takes away the word that was sown in them. 16 Others, like seed sown on rocky places, hear the word and at once receive it with joy. 17 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. 18 Still others, like seed sown among thorns, hear the word; 19 but the worries of this life, the deceitfulness of wealth and the desires for other things come in and choke the word, making it unfruitful. 20 Others, like seed sown on good soil, hear the word, accept it, and produce a crop--some thirty, some sixty, some a hundred times what was sown."

Today the world is still killing its own as it did in the pass. In every nation of the world there has been some type of genocide. People would deny much of this but God does not forget and to him a day is like a thousand years and a thousand years like one day. Where innocent blood has been shed in the past, that blood stills calls out for vengeance to a holy and righteous God who will avenge it. In parts of the Deep South in the USA, slaves were preached to on Sunday and lynched on Monday as if God were not real. These sins do not just disappear for what so ever a man sows so he shall reap. If you don't believe that just ask the people of Texas.
