Paris is the capital of France and is situated in Northern France. It is the largest city in France and a very important and influential one around the globe that serve as a center for most of the happenings either in science, culture or technology. Paris is also known for its beauty and attracts so many tourists from around the world because it serves so many purposes. Paris is said to be the most visited city in the world. There a number of places worth visiting in Paris city while the metropolitan area serves its own purpose. If I have to suggest you top ten places you must visit you should follow the said pattern in the article.

The first place to go to shall be the Arc de Triomphe de l'Étoile a very famous monument. Series of monuments were built in Paris following victories while this one was commissioned by Emperor Nepolean I, reflecting the triumph and victories of French. It is placed in the west end of Champs-Elysées, that is a well known venue of the city since it is at the juncture and is known as the Etoile (star), where twelve high-status avenues seem coming out from the arch.

The second place must be Conciergerie that once served both as a loyal palace during French revolution as well as a prison. Conciergerie today besides that water view is a place worth a visit but is not remembered in a great way by some people.

The third place that I am going to suggest is known to too many people today and is called the Eiffel Tower that is basically an iron lattice tower representing the modern Paris unlike the most of the other places that will be suggested here. It was built by Gustave Eiffel. The tower has a height as much as an eighty one story long building. It has three levels for visitors with varying tickets and looks perfect with lighting in night time, heading to the greater sky.

The fourth place to visit in Paris is Les Invalides that has buildings of monuments, museums, and some military stuff too, like the hospital for those who fought in war as well as Church etc. Altogether this building offers you too much of real Paris. This building also has tomb of notary people like Napoleon Bonaparte.

The fifth suggestion must be Musée du Louvre. That is one the largest and most visited museum from around the world. It is large and very beautiful. Once you get started with it the building as the offerings will never come to an end. The museum has an amazing and diverse collection of paintings and I must not forget to mention the painting of Mona Lisa here. The palace reflects the glory and rich history of this place over an extended period.

The next suggestion is also very famous that is Notre Dame Cathedral. It is a beautiful cathedral and has marvelous architecture. The towers, the building and the glass work are just so amazing to be viewed. This building will give you a great feel when visited.

The seventh venue must be Musée d'Orsay is another museum located in Paris. It has beautiful paintings and furniture as well as photographs of France dated a long way back. The building is built in a railway station and had basically served the purpose of terminus; it was converted to a museum in 1977 by the French government. It contains very classic paintings and is therefore worth a visit.

The eighth place to visit has to be The Sorbonne and the Latin Quarter, the Sorbonne University in that has taught the people of Pairs for so long and has a rich history. It was found in 1257, although initially for a very limited number of students later served its purpose. It is one of the oldest universities found in Europe. The list of its graduates includes the best that France had ever had and the list is way too long to share here.

Next place to visit would be Sacre Coeur and Montmartre with an amazing white dome, best known for its amazing interior and is a very beautiful building.

Once you are done with all this, your final and tenth station must be a Boat Tour of the Seine River that can help you see most of Paris.
