Design and build:

Its majestic stance and enviable front with sharp and clear lens headlamps commands respect. Although it is criticized to have outdated looks, the boxy angular body makes this a tantalizing one. Its tall stance and ample ground clearance suitable for Indian roads, makes it comfortable for getting in and out of the car too. The exteriors of the SUV look very ordinary or outdated, but it promises a sense of grace. The silvered colored bumpers, front grille made of chrome and six-spoke alloy wheels act as an eye candy.

Engine and Performance:

This off the road performer is powered by a 2.8L, 8-valve, Single Overhead Camshaft (SOHC), turbo-charged diesel engine gives out 117bhp at 4,000 rpm and a peak torque of 292 Nm at 2,000 rpm. It generates great power to take this vehicle to a maximum speed of 150 km/h. The SUV touches the 100kmph mark in just 17 seconds and gives 8kpl on streets of the city and 11kpl on highways. A 5-speed manual transmission comes in handy to offer smooth shift of gears with changing pace.

Comfort:

The seats of this SUV are very comfortable, especially due to the leather upholstery. Hand rests, cup holders and ash trays attached to the side of the doors shows that the manufacturers have an eye for detail. The interiors are well designed with dual-colored interiors and headrests with the color of the body making it look sporty and stylish. The height of the driver's seat can be adjusted as per convenience and the seat at the back rows are completely foldable giving ample space for your luggage. With enough air-ventilators installed in each low a uniform temperature can easily be maintained throughout the car without making anyone frozen in cold or roasted in heat. Pajero gives enough room for leg space that can make even tall fashion models to be at ease inside it!

Safety features

The console makes it a heaven on the wheels for the driver. The leather-padded steering wheel design is impressive with its four spokes and the royal logo of Mitsubishi at the center. It comes with a dynamic MP3 player that can drive away your boredom when on a long ride. It does not compromise on the safety of its passengers as it has 3-point Emergency Locking Retractor (ELR) seatbelts, front and rear door impact bars, collapsible steering column, and high-mount stop lamp. With a unique feature in terms of safety, the child protection rear door locks, it makes you a better parent.

One day or the other this has a great chance to be the king of SUVs in India although there is a stiff competition in the market with a lot of new releases. One drawback that stays hidden inside your basket of benefits is the unavailability of the petrol version. The cost too may be only for thise who have surplus cash with the car costing about 22 lacks. So, if you are planning to add a new member to your family then what are you waiting for?
