Leaders Without Leadership
India the land of cultural heritage has given many National leaders who served their whole life for the cause of the people and nation. But sadly to say that the same land has now given many politicians who even do not know the basic lessons of politics. Rather many politicians in India do not know the lessons of what is political science. They have become politician by blessings of their relatives, money or some other factor. They have just one intension in mind that is to get elected by fair and foul means for a term of five years and to wake up at the time of general elections to work and think for day and night for the people. Those days during the campaign has full service of devotion of helping and listening the grievance of the people and they have nice grammatical sentences ready so as to how to tackle the crowd to insist them that everything would be ok and fine if they cast their precious votes in their favor and would see the desired changes in time to come after being elected. But all that promises and assurances are only cooked during the electoral period and again they will have a sound sleep for next elections to come. In olden days politicians were so much concerned that they just thought for the people. For them service to people was the real appreciation for their work and would feel happy until people were satisfied and happy with them. They preferred to go and mix with the people rather than prefer to stay a far distance from them. They could not sleep unless people were happy with them, they would not misuse the fund given to them and would spend it on the people for developmental work But now day's picture is exactly opposites and today we find almost top to local politician associated with fraud and corruptions.
But remember who so ever if he is a big or small leader than he has to answer for all his work of leadership, as he is whole and sole responsible for the people and if he fails on true leadership grounds or misuse leadership than he has to answer in front of God.

Now let's see what does Holy Quran says about leadership
Regarding electing and appointing people to positions of authority, the Quran says:
"Allah commands you to make over trusts (or positions of trust and authority) to those worthy of them." (4:58)
Some other principles are as follows:
"Obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority from among you; then if you quarrel about anything (with your authorities) refer it to Allah and the Messenger" (4:59), i.e. settle the disagreement by means of the Holy Quran and the Holy Prophet's example.
"Obedience (of authority) is due only in good matters", i.e., orders to do wrong must not be obeyed. (Holy Prophet in Bukhari.)
The first head of state of the Muslims after the Holy Prophet, the famous Hazrat Abu Bakr, said in a speech after his election:
"Help me if I am in the right. Correct me if I am in the wrong. Obey me as long as I obey Allah and His Messenger; in case I disobey Allah and His Messenger, I have no right to obedience from you."
"The most excellent jihad is to speak the truth in the face of an unjust ruler." (Holy Prophet in Mishkat)
