The Wide Range of Treatment Options Available For Erectile DysfunctionBY: Sathish k Paul | Category: Health | Submitted: 2010-10-20 12:26:04
The erectile dysfunction is a common disease that is affecting many men. It is a much more common problem than it is thought to be. The reason for the decreased knowledge about the disease has made many men to conceal the disease. This has caused the under reporting of the disease. The medical community has not been able to identify and treat all the people who are suffering from this disease because the men who are embarrassed do not try to seek treatment. The treatment that is available for the erectile dysfunction to be overcome are many in number. Though there are many treatments, most of the treatments do not cure the person completely. Many of the treatments are only a symptomatic treatment and help the person to overcome the problem for a short period of time. Some of the common methods of treating the erectile dysfunction are listed here 1. Prescription Viagra: This is by far the commonest method of treatment. Many of the affected people are used to seeking and obtaining this treatment. The physician examines the person and treats the condition with Viagra that can be bought with the prescription from the physician. The reason for the need of the prescription is that if the person is not able to get the prescription, then the drug may cause various side effects. The physician examines the person who is suffering from erectile dysfunction and identifies if the person can use the drug. 2. Generic medications: There are a lot of generic medications that are available on the internet and also offline. These over the counter products are all very similar in the effect to the prescription Viagra, but the only difference is that there is no need for a prescription for the person who is suffering from erectile dysfunction and buys a generic version of the drug Viagra. The cost of the generic drugs is very less compared to the prescription medication. 3. Herbal therapy: Though herbal therapy is frequently used in certain countries and communities, they have not been really proved to be very effective in treating erectile dysfunction. 4. Yoga: Yoga is another common treatment that is said to help the person who is suffering from erectile dysfunction. The only problem si that Yoga does not actually treat the erectile dysfunction, but the Yoga only helps to prevent the person from becoming highly stressed. This is the method in which the person is able to overcome the disease if it is caused by stress. 5. There are other methods of treating the erectile dysfunction with the use of various other methods like Ayurvedic medications. This again is a treatment that has not been proved by research to treat or cure the disease. 6. There are a lot of other treatments that are said to help the person who is suffering from erectile dysfunction to overcome the disease, but the truth is that most of these treatments that are available on the internet are all scams that only try to make money from the people who are suffering from the chronic problem and are in a frantic search for a complete cure. The lack of treatment is causing a lot of distress to the people who are suffering from the disease. Even the available treatment may only help the person to have an erection for a day or two and the next day's dose has to be taken for the disease to subside for one more day. There seems to be no complete cure for the erectile dysfunction. Article Source: http://www.saching.com/ About Author / Additional Info: Comments on this article: (0 comments so far)
