The role of social networking has change so much since the days when they first appeared. These days, social networking has become a way of life. They are not a process of becoming emancipated, but they are methods that every person uses to live life to the fullest. There are various advantages of the social networking too. The reason for the advantages is because there are millions of people who are logged onto their social networks and communicate with other people. There are some disadvantages of the social networking too, but the advantages seem to be more than the various disadvantages present. 1. Networking: The main objective of the social networks is to network with other people. There are various social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, Orkut, MySpace, Linkedin and others. Each of these are focused on a specific group of population, but some of them are global. The global ones are much better if you are not interested in focusing on a specific population. 2. Seeking a job: Other than just networking, job identification and seeking is also very useful in the social networks. There are a lot of people who have their own companies , also have their presence on the social networks. These people will be able to recruit others for work in their company. This is done through the social networks. These days, even very large companies are turning to the social networks to recruit new people for their companies. 3. Entertainment: One of the most important benefits of the social networks is that it provides a lot of entertainment to the people. There are a lot of social games that are played. This makes it possible for the people from one country to be able to play with another person from a different country. Other than the games, there are also many other possibilities of having fun on these social networks. Chatting with friends is also another fun activity that is part of the entertainment in the social networks. 4. Helps overcome depression: There are many people who may be depressed in their own homes due to various reasons. There are other people who may not have a family at all. They may feel very lonely. This can lead to a lot of depression in the person. These people who are depressed may be able to overcome the depression with the help of these other people on the internet. The availability of many people online at any time of the day keeps the single person to have a companion and ward off depression. There are millions and millions of people around the world who are using various social networks. There are many reasons for each of them to use it. Some have personal reasons and others have more than one reason to search or contact others on the social networks. As the use of the social network increases, there is also the risk of people becoming addicted to the various aspects of the networks. The internet has come a long way from the days when communication was possible with e mails, then chatting was enabled and now, there is real time communication possible with other people in various parts of the world. It remains to be seen as to what more can happen with the social networks taking over the internet.
