1. Diet:

Diet is an important method of dealing with back pain. The diet that a person consumes can cause or increase the amount of back pain in more than one way. This is because when there is an excessive consumption of food that is loaded with calories, the person can have increase in the weight and this can cause the stomach to expand and so place the tissues including the vertebrae under great stress leading to increase in the back pain. This is a structural problem that causes increase in the back pain. This is the reason for people who suffer from pain in the back to decrease the number of calories they consume. Other method that can be used is to strengthen the abdominal muscles so that the stress placed on the vertebrae is decreased.

2. Nutritional supplements:

These nutritional supplements help to provide you with the actual amount of proteins that are needed for the body and at the same time, you will be able to prevent the feeling of hunger because proteins actually give you a feeling of being full. At the same time, the back pain will be reduced because the stress on the lower back is reduced.

3. Posture:

Other than the food habits, the posture of the person is a very important factor that will help to make sure that the back pain is reduced. Maintaining the posture is one of the most practical methods of making sure that the person will have a back pain free life. The posture if poor, will cause the person to have excess stress on the muscles and the bones in the back and this will again cause an increase in the pain in the back.

These are some of the practical methods that can be used to relieve the back pain. Since it is very common in many people, all these aspects can be initially tried before going in for medical treatment. The most common causes of back pain are obesity and also abnormal posture.
