GOOD FRIDAY POEM
===========================

All do dream of a cozy house
To relax with family and spouse
But Neighbours quarrels of Boundary
Trees, Pets, Maids, Kids contradictory
Makes us carry Cross of Miseries

Secure-job in time great boon
Makes us feel safe as in cocoon
But Professional jealousy, Forceful strikes,
Gender, Flag or Caste difference views
Makes us carry Cross of Suppressions

Family, great blessing, joy for all
Stump of strength at times of fall
But Ego, Selfishness, Conceit and Deceit
Greed to grow rich, faster than rest
Makes us carry Cross of Frustrations

Friends are fun, treated as gems
Share joy and sorrow, Love in tons
But unfaithful relation, Deception, Pretense
Abandonment for better ones, Insult, Denial
Makes us carry Cross of Disgustions

Born as Indians, Proud to be
Rich in heritage, Great Democracy
But Self Centered Administrators, Biased Rulers
Trades the Country, Loots the poor and common
Makes us carry Cross of Calamities

Cross of Miseries and Suppressions
Cross of Frustrations and Disgustions
Cross of Calamities and many other kinds
Is not as great as Cross of Calvary
Jesus Christ Carried in silent agony
To save and redeem us from our Sins.

Such a strong and wonderful piece and in fact the poet is getting better and better at it with each poem. This is indeed a reflection of our times, when every Friday is a Good Friday and we carry the cross or put others on the cross. It is high time we ended all this and learned to live not like great men but like animals who harmonize themselves with nature Sreekumar K - Author 2014-04-20 08:37:29 2051
