There are many reasons due to which the level of testosterone in the body decreases. One of the most common reasons is the injury to the testes. There could be a traumatic injury that causes damage to the organs that produce the hormone and this leads to decreased production of the hormone. Similar to this is the presence of any disease that affects the testes. There are some congenital diseases or even acquired diseases that can cause damage to the testes and this can lead to decreased testosterone levels.
There are many times when the occupation of the person could hinder the production of testosterone. Exposure to radio active material could be a major cause of the decrease in the decreased production of this hormone.
Results of decreased hormone production:
When there is a decreased hormone production, it will cause various changes in the males. The male features will decrease and there could be an increase in the features of a female. The voice may change in some people. Others may suffer from enlargement of breasts, decreasing facial hair and other problems.

The exercise that a person does is a very important factor in testosterone. As the person does more exercise, there is an increase in the production of the hormone. In fact exercise and obesity of the person is very closely related. If you are obese and also do not exercise, then there will be a very drastic fall in the amount of testosterone produced.
Just like the exercise, the diet is also very important and a high calorie diet that is very fattening will lead to obesity and decreased testosterone production. On the other hand, an increase in the consumption of protein will help to make sure that there is an increase in the production of the hormone and so a protein rich diet is important. There are also certain other foods that are very helpful in the increased production of testosterone and they include the use of foods like Oysters, eggs, beef, broccoli and also garlic.
3. Decreased stress:
A high stress life can also be a cause of decreased production of testosterone. If you would like to increase the production of the hormone, then there should be a decrease in the levels of stress. There are various methods of reducing stress and these methods include the use of meditation and Yoga. Relaxation exercises are also commonly done to decrease the stress.
4. Herbal therapy:
The use of a herb named Tribulus terristris has also been found to have an effect on the increase of testosterone.
