Microsoft Dynamic CRM (Customer Relationship Management) is a Microsoft offering for sales and marketing offices as well as for help desks. Basically the software has been designed on .NET technology and forms a part of the Microsoft Dynamics Family. The complete package includes Microsoft Dynamics GP, Dynamics AX and also Dynamics NAV. In order to cater to various group functioning styles, the software has been designed on 4 different versions. These are the Workgroup Edition, the Professional, the Enterprise and the Service Provider Editions. This software has found more acceptance among new customers. Users of the software say that the product has a brilliant set-up but lacks a few essential elements in order for it to be considered a whole package. Before we get into what the product lacks, here is an idea on what it does include. This application software uses an IIS server to allow for web enabled services. But you have to be careful with its use because it has yet to be customized to deal with online security extensively. This 4.0 version allows for multiple companies to be set up on the same server. This feature is called multiple tenancy. There is a provision of XRM that allows for acceleration on the functioning of the software. It paves the way for automatic connections to social networking sites as well as to individual mobile phones. The application is armed with solid reporting and data import tools. Microsoft Dynamic CRM has multiple currency and language features in it. There is also provision made for Windows Live Messaging as well as MS Office Communicator. Cloud computing will also be possible with this. It comes with features such as ribbon interface. Reports can be created by more people than just the administrator. Considering that all of these are the features, what is actually missing in this product is the ability of power dialing. Complete CRM companies depend on telephones in order to maintain and update customer databases. Voice messaging is another useful option that has not been included in the package. There are CRM systems that come with these features and at a much more comfortable price.
