2. Dry skin:

As a person with diabetes, you should try to dry your feet every day. Only if you are able to keep your feet dry will you be able to prevent damage to your feet. If your feet are wet or have sweat on it, then these areas can be easily infected and this can cause you to have damage to your skin.

3. Control glucose levels:


It may be thought that the glucose levels in the body may not have a great effect on the foot of the person. The truth is that when your glucose levels shoot up, there are a lot of changes that happen in the arteries of the body and this can cause decreased blood supply to the lower limbs and especially the feet. This causes damage that can be irreversible.

4. Shoes:

It is very important to wear shoes that are very comfortable and also loose fitting for you to be able to prevent damage that can occur to your feet. Other than your shoes, you should also wear socks and keep the toenails trimmed and cut in a straight line to keep your feet safe.

5. Regular examination:

A physician should regularly examine your feet or any other health professional who is experienced. This will help to prevent the damage that can occur to the feet if it is put through a lot of stress.
