This comes with four variants: Aqua, Aura, Aura+ and AuraABS. Tata gives even more variety in the engine for the customers to choose from, petrol and a diesel variant, which are Safire90 petrol engine and the Quadrajet90 diesel engine for each of the four variants. It is found to be known that this engine has been derived from Fiat.
Engine and Performance:
The petrol variant of Manza will be powered by a 1.4-litre engine and the diesel variant will be powered by 1.3-litre engine. Irrespective of the type every model of the car has a 5-speed manual transmission to switch between with pace. Saffire90 (petrol variant) has a Multi Point Fuel Injection system (MPFI) while the diesel variant comes with CRDi. In common, both the models generate 89bhp, but there are differences in terms of the torque delivered. The Quadrajet90 delivers a torque of 200 Nm@1750-3000 rpm where as the petrol variant has a torque of 116 Nm@4750 rpm. The petrol variant gives 12kpl on city streets and 15 kpl on highways whereas the diesel variant gives 18 kpl inside the city and 22 kpl on highways.
The unique features that enhance performance are the independent Mc Pherson Strut with coil spring suspension in the front. But in the rear, it is the twin beam semi-independent coil springs. This comes together with hydraulic shock absorbers that take care of the typical Indian bumpy roads. Its power steering is or rack and pinion type and has a turning radius of 5.1 meters which is quite common these days in every SUV that is being launched.
Style and Build:
It is a well known fact that Tata motors have always had a great sense of style in designing their cars. The front facade of the sedan is decorated with well designed headlamps that give it a luxurious look. The chrome grille at the front proudly bears the logo of its makers.
The rear part of this luxury car is adorned with monolithic tail lamps. The whole aggressive stance is made over a 2520mm wheel base with 15 inch wheels.
Its dimensions are a length of around 4.4m and a width of 1.7m.The tilt of the power steering and the height of the driver's seat are adjustable to give maximum comfort to the driver. It also comes up with outer rear mirror that is electronically adjustable. An information center is also present on the top of the console that provides information about fuel consumption and temperature.
The rear seats are comfortable with inclination and with the central armrest. A 2-DIN music system with USB and Bluetooth access enhances its entertainment feature. The stereo controls are also given in the steering for easy control even when on drive. As far as security systems are concerned, it has a central locking system, an engine immobilizer and a collapsible steering column. Airbags are restricted to the front seats alone leaving the rear seat passengers insecure. With all these facilities this hot sedan takes a comfortable place of a luxury car in Indian markets. Now do you understand why these are selling like hot cakes?
The car will cost anywhere between 4.75 to 6.75 lacks depending on the features, variant and the taxes on the car.
