Free radicals are the various particles in the body that can cause various problems including conditions like cancer. In fact these free radicals can cause various kinds of damage to the systems in the body. These are unstable molecules that have to be oxidized to be prevented from damaging the various body systems. This is the reason people need to consume a lot of various anti oxidants so that the free radicals are neutralized. The danger about the free radicals is that because they are very unstable, they tend to cause instability to the various other molecules in the body casing the formation of more free radicals.

There are various kinds of damage that these free radicals can cause in the people in whom they are present and these are as follows:

1. Cancer:

Cancer is a chronic disease that is commonly seen in many people. There are many who suffer from this disease, n spite of the fact that they have been leading a very healthy life with no problems in their lifestyle. The reason for these people to get cancer is an irritant in the body. The usual irritant that leads to the occurrence of cancer in a person is the free radicals that are circulating in the body. The free radicals could have got into the body as the byproducts of the food that are consumed in the body. It can also form in the body of people who smoke and have various lifestyle problems.

2. Other diseases:

There are also various other diseases that are caused by the free radicals in the body. The formation of the free radicals can cause various immune disorders in the body and can cause immune deficiency diseases. These diseases can be deadly and may not respond to the treatment.

3. Memory loss:

The increased amount of the free radical in the body can also affect the mind and the nervous system. This can lead to a loss of memory in those who have the high levels of free radicals. All the diseases that are caused by the free radicals can be prevented and treated by the use of appropriate diet and other methods to decrease the amount of free radicals in the body.

Preventing free radicals activity:

1. Healthy diet:

There are various methods that can be used by you to prevent the activity of the free radicals. One of the most important things that you can do is to make sure that you have a healthy lifestyle. Avoiding smoking and eating a diet that is full of vegetables and fruits will make sure that you have very less free radicals in the body.

2. Increase antioxidants:

The increase in the amount of antioxidants in the body is another method of making the free radicals to be neutralized. The increase of anti oxidants in the body can be done by consuming a diet that is mainly comprised of fruits and vegetables as these have the highest amount of antioxidants that are beneficial.
