Fiat Palio is manufactures by fiat and in India the car is assembled in Agra which is offered by a joint venture between Fiat India Private Limited and Tata Motors. It is a hatchback category car which has already gained tremendous success in European market. Like the other Fiat cars this cas also has a perfect combination of look and practicality. It is exceptional for its soft, simple and pure design that facilitates the car to have dynamic, pleasant link.
Fiat Palio is available in both petrol and diesel fuel options. The car has two different versions in both fuel options. Fiat diesel is comprised of the 1.9 EL and the 1.9 ELX. The petrol variants of the car are Fiat Palio 1.2 NV-ELPS and Fiat Palio 1.2 NV-ELX.
Fiat Palio Diesel has a 4 cylinder front transversal 8 valve engine along with Single Overhead Cam Shaft (SOHC) and electronically controlled fuel injection. The maximum torque produced by this engine is 118 (12.0) kgm at 2500 rpm. The petrol version of Fiat Palio has front drive engine with manual, 5-speed, and all forward speeds synchromesh gear box.
Fiat's world car stood on 178 platforms developed on the base of a suggestion from Idea Institute of Turin. The car has many appealing features like sporty body, colored bumpers, spectacular exteriors, and light brown interiors with dual-tone dashboard which makes Palio a "Car of the New Generation". The specious interior has large legroom space. Fiat Palio has a high fuel efficiency rate and has a 260 liters boot space that can be expanded up to 950 liters. The rack and pinion power assisted engines of this car is very easy to handle. The suspension system of Fiat Palio includes McPherson strut for the front, torsion axle coil, stabilizing bar, coil spring and for the rear telescopic dual effect shock absorbers. The internally adjustable OVRM, wheel covers, body colored door handles and alloy wheels make the exterior of the Fiat Palio more attractive and convenient for the users.
The car has fabric lined seats with enhanced fabric designed rear seat belts, rear seat double folding, three spoke steering wheel, day and might mirror, air conditioner remote tail gate opener, heater, power steering and cabin lamp. These are not all. It also has twin parabola reflector head lights with halogen lamps, mounting for car radio, antenna cable, internal cable for six speaker, vanity mirrors, 2-speed wiper with alternating operation and anti panic feature, trip meter, front power windows and digital etc.
One of the major safety features of this car is secure engine immobilizer software. There are many more modern safety features are also available in this car such as driver side air bag which has a capacity of 45 liters, dashboard with height adjustable front seat belts, anti-lock braking (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD), rear windshield defroster and central locking system.
The price of Fiat Palio is within affordable range. It has been priced between Rs 3.50 to Rs 4.25 lakh.
