The general role of a Specialist Officer in a bank is overseeing the specialization operations that may be in various kinds of disciplines such as agriculture, Human Resource Management, law, system database administration, financial and accounting and technical engineering etc. Specialist officers should be eligible to work as a cadre in the particular specialization which they have applied for. Thus, they work as agricultural officers, financial or accounting officers, marketing officers, IT officers, HR officers or technical officers.
