Cancer is one of the most common diseases that are seen to affect millions of people all over the world. There are different kinds of cancer as there are causes. Some of the common cancers like lung cancer are usually caused by smoking. There are many other cancers where the cause is little known. In spite of the variation in the causes, the treatment usually consists of radiation therapy, chemotherapy and even surgery. These try to kill the cancerous tumors from the body and prevent them from growing again.

In breast cancer, the growth of the abnormal tumor tissue occurs in the breast tissue. The common cause of breast cancer is menopause in women. Other than this, the abnormal hormone levels in the body of the woman can lead to cancers. The woman has hormones like progesterone and estrogen. When there is a decrease in the levels of these hormones, it can lead to various other problems too like cancers.

Hormone replacement therapy and its indications

During the menopausal time, there is a hormonal imbalance in the woman and this too can cause various health problems. This is the reason for the hormone replacement therapy being used as a treatment for both breast cancer patients and also in women who are in their post menopausal period. The hormone replacement therapy has come into question in many parts of the world, because the hormones that are used to replace the natural hormones of the body have been found to have various side effects.

Synthetic hormones and bio hormones

There are different kinds of hormones and they are synthetic hormones as well as bio hormones. The synthetic hormone as the name indicates, is a hormone that is made from various chemicals. There are some disadvantages in using these hormones and this is because the body may not accept these hormones as a replacement for the natural hormones and may consider it to be toxic. This can lead to more side effects including diseases like cancer. On the other hand, there are certain hormones called as bio hormones that are very useful in preventing cancer as they are very similar to the natural hormones that are resent in the human body. These are more acceptable to the body and so does not cause any diseases most of the time.

Treatment for cancer:

To treat women who have suffered from breast cancer, or when they are in the post menopausal period, the bio hormone can be used with no problem at all. In spite of the fact that there is a lot of debate going on about the efficacy of the hormones in preventing cancer, it should be understood that bio hormones does prevent cancer and can be used as a treatment method.

The patient benefits from bio hormones to prevent and also to treat various diseases and so they should be considered as regular aspects of treatment and the synthetic hormones should not be used as it can cause toxicity in the body and lead to further diseases.
