Rose water

Rose water has soothing effect on the eyes and helps in taking care of the dark circles when used regularly. The cotton pads are soaked inside the rose water in a bowl and are kept on the closed eyes. The pads are retained there for about 15 minutes and removed. This procedure is followed for several weeks twice per day.

Cucumber
The skin under the eyes is lightened by cucumber as it acts as a good astringent. Fresh cucumber slices are placed on the eyes for 10 to 15 minutes. Later, the skin under the eyes is cleaned with normal water. The dark circles are removed by giving the refreshing and soothing effect on the skin. A teaspoon of lemon juice and cucumber juice are mixed and applied on the skin under the eyes using a cotton ball. It is left for about 15 minutes and the process is repeated for about a week to bring relief from the dark circles.

Almond oil
Almond oil is applied on the dark circles around the eyes. The oil is massaged gently in that area to spread it completely and have proper blood circulation around the eyes. The oil is kept like that all through the night and then rinsed away. You can get relief from the dark circles under the eyes and some skin lightening by regularly doing this process.

Lemon juice
Apply some lemon juice on the dark circles and wash it after 10-15 minutes. You can also follow another method where lemon juice is mixed with tomato puree, a pinch of gram flour and turmeric powder. A thick paste is made and applied on the skin for about 15 minutes. It is then washed away with water. This has to be done for two to three times in a week to remove the dark circles under the eyes.

Raw Potato
The dark circles and puffiness around the eyes are removed by rubbing with potatoes around the eyes. The potato juice is extracted and applied on the dark circles for about 10 to 15 minutes. This is later washed off with cool water.

Turmeric
A thick paste is prepared using half a tea spoon of tea powder and pineapple juice. This paste is applied on the dark circles under the eyes for about 10 minutes and then rinsed off. The area is dried with the cloth and the process is repeated to make the skin soft, lightened and beautiful.

Tomatoes
Equal amounts of tomato juice and lemon juice are taken and applied on the dark circles with the cotton ball. Then it is washed off using water. The process is repeated two times in a day to avoid formation of dark circles. The tomato juice is mixed with mint leaves, salt and lemon juice. Intake of this juice immediately after preparing it can treat dark circles effectively.

Apple
A ripe apple slice is kept on the skin under the eyes for about 30 minutes and removed. The place is washed, dried and applied with a cream to get relief from dark circles. A green apple is boiled for a few minutes till it becomes soft. The paste is applied on the dark circles and then washed with warm water. This is repeated to treat dark circles.

Cold compress
A washed cloth is soaked in cold water or cold milk, strained gently and kept on the closed eyes. The cloth is kept for a few minutes and taken off. This process is repeated 2 to 3 times to remove dark circles. Ice cubes in a clean cloth or a cool spoon or frozen peas or chilled tea bags are placed on the dark circles to give soothing effect. This process can be done for 3 to 4 times per day to get relief from the problem.

Mint leaves
Crushed mint leaves are placed around the closed eyes for 5 to 10 minutes. Then the area is cleaned and the process is repeated for a few days to reduce the dark circles. In another process, mint leaves are made into a paste with tomato juice. This paste is applied on the dark circles for a few minutes. Then, the area is washed off entirely with cold water.

Orange juice and Glycerin
A small amount of glycerin is mixed with orange juice. This mixture is applied on the dark circles and later washed off to make the skin smooth and soft. This treatment is considered as the best one.

Diet Plan
Some of the tips like drinking more water in a day, eating a lot of fresh fruits and vegetables, eating yogurt, sprouts, paneer, salads, cereals, beans, lentils and skimmed milk, and eating foods rich in vitamin A, K, E and C can help in removing dark circles.

Sleep
Having enough sleep of about 7 to 8 hours per day will help in reducing stress and remove dark circles.

Warm water
Washing the eyes with warm water followed by cold water will enhance blood circulation around the eyes and makes it smooth.

Moisturizer
Applying moisturizer under the eyes before going to bed will provide required hydration to the skin. Moist skin removes the dark circles and puffiness.
