Status of Women in Islam Category: Religion

Islam recognises the position of women to be the same as that of the man. It says both came from the same essence. Before the arrival of Islam, women were treated in a very inhumane manner.Islam provided the women their own rights. The early Arabs used to bury their daughters alive. Islam stopped this madness. With the teachings of Islam,the Arabs became civilized and learnt the status of women in the society.
