Rajat Sharma , the Rawalpindi express of the Punjab team thrashed Jammu And Kashmir 20-20 team in the inaugural match of ALL INDIA 20-20 NATIONAL CRICKET CHAMPIONSHIP being held at Mumbai.Punjab scored a small total of 102 runs in 20 overs with Pawan Kumar (41runs) , Karan Kapoor (29 runs of 11 balls) being its lead scorer.

In return , J&K team only managed to make a total of 93 runs in 17 overs.Rajat proved to be a trump card for Punjab , he took 8 wickets in 4 overs and gave just 10 runs.J&K were 2 runs at the loss of 2 wickets in the very first over of the match and just managed to reach a total of 97 runs and lost their first match against Punjab in the inaugural match. Waseem Ahmed was the only batsmen for J&K who managed to get some runs (33 runs of 29 balls). The other scorers of J&K were Abdul (19 runs of 11 balls) , Manzoor Ahmed (14runs). Rajat Sharma was given the man of the match for his spectacular performance.Punjabs coach , Mr.Arush Sachdev said that he was delighted to see his boys snatch away the match from the opponent team.He said that after seeing his team bat , he thought that chasing 102 runs wont be a tough job for the J&K team. But the spectacular performance by Rajat Sharma and the tight fielding effort helped his team to take away the inaugral match from the hands of the opponent team.

MR.SS Sareen was invited as the chief guest of the inaugural match along with Mr.Piyush and Mr.Dhamija. Mr. Sareen is the general secretary of the Delhi and district cricket association (DDCA)

In the tomorrows match , Delhi will take on Himachal Pradesh at 10am at Wankhede stadium and Hyderabad will take on Uttar Pradesh at 4pm. The tournament is being organized by the association of twenty twenty cricket and the matches will go on till 27th of march with the finals being played on the 27th of march and the semi-finals on the 25th of march. Spokesperson of the association of twenty twenty cricket said that they will be coming up with more of such tournaments at different parts of India very soon.All matches will be shown live on DD sports.
