Raining Sixes in IPL- RCB Vs DD

It was a thrilling match between RCB and DD on 17th May 2012. The match was organized in feroz sha kotla, New Delhi, India. This is one of best match in IPL 2012. The match was a must win game for RCB and they have done it. Virat kohli and jaywardene were the skippers for the game of RCB and DD respectively. Both of them have done well in the match. RCB won the toss and Elected to bat first. The time and place has made chris Gayle to hit his first century of the season. He has scored 128 not out with an outstanding support from the skipper Virat Kohli who has scored 73 not out. These two players have their stand on the field and done well. In his 128 Gayle has raining sixes and complete entertainment for the crowd. 128 came off 62 balls which include 13 sixes which is a perfect.

13 sixes are like a house full entertainment for the crowd of Delhi. They enjoyed like anything. He started very slow and given a maiden over to umesh yadav. RCB were 42 for 1 in the first six overs but the final score was 215 for 1 . The wicket is of tilakratne dilshan. After dilshan Kohli came on to field and Gayle has left to Kohli to push the innings forward. Till 9th over they have not found their time to show the entertainment. But On 13th Over they thought that it is the time to go on and Gayle has started hitting long off sixes to the left arm spinner Pawan Negi. Then thereafter there is no relaxation for DD. He has started raining sixes to complete 20 overs in a fashion. They finishes 20 overs with a target of 216 for DD.

Asking a over rate of more than 10 per over DD started the innings well. Chand, V.Rao has started the innings with fire and strikes. Chand has hit 2 fours and one six to zaheer khan and vinay kumar respectively. By the end of 11th over DD were 105 for 3 whereas RCB were 83 for 1. It was an easy task for DD to win the match if the wickets would have stood tall. Russel only tried to hit runs from his end to win the match but it went in vain.
DD has done well to chase the target and reach at 194 till the end. They have fought well but the raining sixes of Gayle has made the difference. After his 50 he has scored the rest of fifty through rain of sixes and made his 100 in IPL 2012. It was a complete entertainment for crowd at Delhi. Although Delhi lost the match aganist RCB crowd were happy because DD has already taken their place in Playoffs. It is only a match to watch for the netrtainment of Gayle and they have truely enjoyed it. End of the day it was raining sixes in IPL from Gayle with 50 odd numbers.
