Duplicate articles or those containing copied content really does not help. It is a waste of time and takes you nowhere. It is very important to write articles with your own unique content.

Blogging and writing articles online has become a hobby of millions of people. It is estimated that there are more than 150 million registered domain names hosting billions of web pages today. It is quite obvious that a significant percentage of these pages are simply composed of duplicate content, therefore the count of web pages with unique content is far less than you would think.

Although whatever we humans learn in life comes from some place or another and it is impossible to imagine a world where we would learn everything by our self, (if so we would still be living in stone age). But there is a proper way to reuse information.

Making an exact copy of articles which already exist on the internet can impose content duplication penalty and in worst case can also lead to copyright violation and even legal disputes. There are other people who copy few sentences from several different articles across different sites and try to cook up their own article (pretending to be original). Well, that is duplication too.

Writing articles with duplicate content (little or entirely) will get you nowhere. Internet and search engines have evolved a lot in the last few years and they have learned how to identify duplicate content. Articles which contain copied or content are simply dropped from the search results.

When you write articles, it is important to write everything in your own words. If you take ideas from other sources, please give them credit in your article. Some resources tell you not to use their content unless you have taken written permission to do so. Again .. articles with duplicate content takes you nowhere, it is a waste of time !!

I have also seen people writing original articles and then submitting on many different article publishing websites, that is again of no help. Just wait for 1-2 weeks and you will notice that all but one occurrence will be left in search engine indexes.

One authority called "Creative Commons" specializes in internet based copyright content, it is advisable to read that thoroughly. It has many versions, you can select the one you like.
