Acne is a very common problem that affects people around the world. It can be very frustrating condition for some people, especially the adolescents as they are in the prime of their youth when they like to present their best to the world. A condition that can spoil the beauty of their face can mean a lot to the adolescent. Many adolescents start getting into a shell and others become depressed. People try various types of treatments to clear the acne. Acne is also commonly called as pimples. There are many methods of preventing the formation of pimples or acne. There are also methods of treating the acne once it appears. Sometimes the acne is very resilient and can appear again and again. There are many home remedies too that can be tried out by youngsters who are unable to repeatedly visit the physician due to lack of time and money. Mostly acne can occur on the face, but it can be seen on various other parts of the body too. Acne is usually formed due to prolonged exposure to the elements of nature and its pollutants. Dust and grime can predispose to the formation of acne. This is the reason that people who are prone to acne are advised to regularly wash their face. Consuming a lot of water can also result in making the skin to be smooth and shiny. The home remedies to cure acne are: 1. Drinking lot of water: This is the simplest method of preventing and treating acne. A person who has acne should drink at least one liter of water each day as it will help the skin to glow. 2. Vitamins: The intake of vitamins including Vitamin A and Vitamin E are very important as these vitamins can help the skin to be shining. They can also help to clear off the acne or pimples that are already present. 3. Fenugreek paste: A paste can be made from fenugreek leaves and these can be applied over the pimples and washed off in the morning and this can help to reduce the pimples that are present. 4. Other fruits and vegetables: There are many fruits and vegetables that play a major role in preventing acne. Carrot juice if taken regularly can prevent acne. Orange peels, strawberry leaves can be applied on the acne to reduce the size of the acne and it can also help to cure it. Cucumber can also be applied over the acne. Garlic can be rubbed against the acne to heal it. 5. Other remedies: Many people have reported success when they rubbed a paste of turmeric over the pimple. Mint or toothpaste can be applied over the pimple to heal it. Sandalwood paste can also be helpful in treating the acne. All these applications over the acne should be left in the night and can be washed off in the morning. These are the common treatments that can be done at home for reducing acne. Consultation with a dermatologist can help you evaluate the pimple and take medicines to help to reduce the pimples. Curing or treating acne, like any skin problem, takes time and needs patience.
