There are many people who earn a lot of money by working. This is not true about the other group of people who do not earn a lot even though they work. The amount of money earned by different groups of people depends on various factors. People in one company may earn $50 per day and another person in another company may earn three times or even more than that. There are various reasons for this wide disparity in the income of various groups of people. This article tries to explain the various causes of this income disparity in the people around the world. The various cause of this are: 1. Cheap labor: One of the most important causes of the disparity in the salary and the money earned by people are the availability of cheap labor. There are many economies around the world that are developing or under developed, but these economies have people who are hard working and also very good in work. These people will do a lot more work for lesser pay. This is one major reason for the income disparity. Ion fact this is the reason for many developed countries outsourcing their jobs to these countries so that their corporates will earn more money. 2. Knowledge and skills: The knowledge and the skill may vary from one person to another person. This is another cause of the disparity in the money earned. A person who is good at work and has knowledge about the work will earn a lot more than another person who has lesser knowledge about the work and is also not skilful. 3. Profit motive of various companies: There are thousands of companies in each country. There are only a few managements that consider the needs of the employees. These companies will pay more to their employees so that they will get hard work and commitment from their employees. There are many companies that are not concerned about the various needs of the individual employees working in their company, but these are only dependant on the income and the profit that can be generated by this work force. This makes these managements to pay the bare minimum to their employees. 4. Government policies: There are many government policies that dictate the income earned by individuals in different sectors. Each and every government around the world fix a minimum wage for their people. This minimum wage helps various companies to pay less to their employees. 5. Economy: The economic scenario also plays a major role in the income that a person can earn. During a booming economy, the person will be able to earn more. At the same time, in a recession, the companies will decease the pay depending on the income that their company is making and this can cause disparity between various companies within the same sector too. These are the various causes of income disparity in the world. Some of these can be changed, but there are many others that cannot be changed.
