Throwing up is the last thing any person would like to do, but there are times when this either becomes a necessity or it becomes a way of life. Throwing up becomes a necessity when a person has consumed a poison or any other substance that needs to be brought out. The person who wants to throw up should just insert the finger into the mouth and push as far as possible. There will be point where the gag reflex is stimulated and this will cause whatever was inside the stomach to be thrown up.

2. Medications:

The medications that are used to throw up are called as emetics and they are used in medical emergencies, especially when a person has consumed some kind of food that can be poisonous or can cause damage to the stomach. These medications will cause everything that is present in the stomach to be brought out.

3. Drinking Alcohol:

Alcohol drinking can cause a person to throw up too, but it usually does not happen immediately. This is also not under the person's control, so this kind of method should be avoided as much as possible as a means of throwing up. When a person drinks a lot of alcohol, it causes the person to feel the need to throw up and this kind of throwing up is called as projectile vomiting. A person may throw up when certain strong doses of alcohol are taken or if the amount of alcohol consumed is more. This method is not recommended.

4. Eating a lot:

This is a method of throwing up that is followed by people who want to control their weight and at the same time eat their food. The person who likes the food eats a large quantity of food and then the food itself can act as a cause of the person to throw up because of the large quantity consumed. This can also be used by people who are in depression, stress or have some psychological problems.

These are some of the various methods that are used by people to throw up.
