What are the early signs that can be used to diagnose stroke

Stroke is a condition that commonly affects people in their late fifties. As the person gets older, they are at a higher risk of getting stroke. This is because when the person has a thrombus or emboli, it is due to the atherosclerosis or other conditions that are common in older age group people. This does not mean that stroke does not occur in people of the younger age group. It also affected the younger people under various circumstances. Ones of the common reasons for young age stroke are uncontrolled hypertension. It also occurs in people with an aneurysm. It can also occur in people who have had a severe fall and injured their head like while in an accident.

There are various signs by which a person who is suffering from stroke can be identified early. Early identification of stroke in a person is very important because as the person is identified early, the person can be treated with various methods to prevent the complications from occurring.

The various early signs of stroke are:

1. Inability to speak properly:


The person will have difficulty in speak because the person may have the speech area affected. This can lead to the person being unable to either voice the words properly or have a complete loss of speech itself. This is because of the part of the bran that has been damaged when the person starts to have a clot in the brain.

2. Weakness or inability to move the limbs:

This is the first sign of stroke that is identified in many people. There is a loss of the various movements of the person's body part, especially the extremities.

3. Fainting attack:

Some people can have transient ischemic attacks or short spells of fainting which are the first signs that there is something wrong in the brain which probably could be stroke.

4. Inability to swallow:

Inability to swallow could also be a sign of stroke. The person may have weakness and paralysis if the facial muscles that make it impossible to swallow. When the person eats, the food may fall out of the mouth. This is another sign of stroke in a person.

5. Loss of bladder or bowel control:

A person can have loss of bladder and also bowel control. This is because the person may have the part of the brain that is in control of the muscles that control the sphincters become damaged or ineffective. This can lead to the lack of bladder and bowel control.

These are some of the early signs that can occur in a person affected by stroke. Identifying these signs early enough to get adequate treatment for the person is very important because if the person does not have adequate treatment as early as possible, some of the disabilities can worsen and they can also become irreversible. The clot in the brain can be reversed by giving various medications. This is the reason for identification of the early signs of stroke assuming significance.
