The quality of the life of a person is something that only medical professionals give a lot of thought to. The common man rarely seems to think about the quality of life of an individual. A person should have good quality of life to be able to have a nice life. The quality of life of a person is dependent on a host of factors. This article gives a list of the various factors that determine the quality of life of a person.
1. The lifestyle of the person:
The lifestyle of people varies a lot. There are some people who have a particular kind of life. They will think that their quality of life is not good if they have anything less than what they are used to. Whereas many other people who start having a lifestyle that is better than what they are used to consider that their quality of life has increased. This means the lifestyle of the person has a very important role to play in the quality of life of a person.
2. The food that is available to the person:
The food that is available to the person is another factor that determines the quality of life of the individual. There are many people who do not have adequate food available. These are the people who live in various places where there could be famine.
3. The disease or the disease free status of the person:
The presence or absence of disease in a person is another important factor that determines if the individual has a good quality of life or not. There are many people who are affected by various diseases and this can cause the person to not be able to walk or breathe. There are various other things that a person who is sick will not be able to do. This can also cause the person to have a decrease in the quality of life.
4. The social factors:
There are various social factors that also play a role in the quality of life of a person. The education of a person and the ability to cope with the various stresses of life can also cause a person to have either a good or a not so good quality of life.
5. The environment:
The environment in this context means not only the nature and all the things in it, but it also means the hoe environment of the person where the person resides. Both of these are important for a person to have a good quality of life. A person who is having good surroundings and also a good home environment will have a better quality of life than a person who does not have a good surrounding environment.
These are some of the very important things that have to be considered when the quality of life of a person has to be measured or even considered. To modify the quality of life of a person, all these factors mentioned here have to be modified.
