Tourism in India has been on the rise both with domestic tourists thronging places where very few ventured and there are also a lot of international tourists coming to India to savor the place. There are thousands of places in India that are breathtaking in their beauty. These places range from beaches to hill stations and various other places. India is also a land of various cultures and civilizations. This has caused the place to have a large number of buildings that have a historical importance attached to them. These buildings in the various parts of India are all made into heritage sites if they have some historical importance. The best things about these buildings are that they have a blend of various cultures in their structure itself.

One of the most important places as far as tourism is concerned is Vishakhapatnam. Though this is still a place that has not had the full tourism potential tapped, the government of Andhra Pradesh is trying to get the place all spruced up to gear for the large influx of tourists that are sure to come to this city due to various reasons.

Beaches:

The city has a beautiful beach that attracts people from many places in the country. The beaches of Vishakhapatnam are clean and also very beautiful. They are also long stretches with clean sand that children love to play with. There are various resorts that are present on the edge of the water and there are millions of people who stay there to have fun and frolic on the beach. In fact, the road leading from Bheemunipatnam to Vishakhapatnam is all on the edge of the water, making it one of the largest stretches of beach roads in India. The coconut tree lined beaches are all very scenic and people will enjoy the beauty of the place.

Kailasagiri Hills:

This is one of the other attractions of the city. There is a small hill near the beach called Kailasagiri and there is a temple on the hill. This makes the local people and those from the nearby towns visit this hill to offer their prayers at the temple. The view of the sea from the top of the hill is another breath taking view that one can never forget.

The other developing parks:

There are various parks and other attractions that are being developed by the city authorities so that the city can become more attractive to the tourists. There is also a film city that is being developed in this city and that is sure to become a very famous attraction for those who visit this city.

Reaching Vishakhapatnam:

Reaching this city is not very difficult. One can fly directly into this city as there is a international airport in the city. Domestic and international flights from various cities have flights coming into this city. There are also a lot of trains that reach Vishakhapatnam from various parts of India including cities like Chennai, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Bangalore.
