There are millions of people around us. We are not friendly with all of them. In fat people living in a city may not even know those who are their neighbors even after living with them as neighbors for many years. There are various reasons for this. One is the lack of time as all of us are busy with our daily activities. This article gives a few tips to maintain good relationship with others around you.

One of the most important tips to maintain good relationship with others around you is that you should be the initiator in conversations. Many of us think why we should start a conversation and wait for the people near us to start talking to us. This may make us lose a lot of unmade friends. This can be prevented by talking to them and we may be able to forge a lifelong friendship.

Help others:

A friend in need is a friend indeed is an adage that all of us have heard. We should not wait for a person to be in need for us to help the person. At the same time, we should not think that we should help only our friends. As humans, we should try to help all those around us who are in need and this in itself will help you to be able to maintain good relationship with others around you.

Do not be too nosy:

Though we should talk to others and try to help them when ever it is possible for us to help them, one should not be too nosy and should not involve in the personal matters of the person. Unless we are very close to the other person and unless the other person asks us to help in a personal problem, it is always good to keep away from personal matters of another person as this is the usual cause of strife in the relationship. To prevent a break in the relations and to maintain a very good relation, one should make sure to keep away from personal matters of another person.

Give and take policy:

There are a few givers and others are takers. By this, what I mean to say is that there are people who always want some help from others and do not want to help them in return. There are other people who are always givers and they do not take the help of the other person. These kinds of relations rarely mature and strengthen. Instead these relations break very easily and the people break their relation. To make sure that the relation is very strong; both involved should give help and take help when necessary.

These are some of the simple methods in which an effective relationship can be forged with people around us. It should be remembered that all over the world, we have friends who are just waiting to be met. There are great friendships and relations that have been forged between people who have met on a train journey or a flight and have become closer over the years.
