Banana is a commonly available food. It is also very cheap for the person to buy. There are various kinds of bananas and they are all effective in curbing various health problems in individuals. This article lists the various minerals and vitamins present in a banana that can help the person who is affected with certain health conditions.
A banana is loaded with various vitamins and minerals. Some of these minerals are found in banana in large quantities that they are very good for the health of a person.
There are a large number of vitamins present in bananas. They include vitamins like Vitamin A, Vitamin B. There are many types of the Vitamin B available in the fruit. They include thiamine, riboflavin, niacin and also folic acid. These vitamins each have a specific function in the body. Some of these are very essential for the person to be healthy. The presence of all these vitamins in a banana makes this fruit a gift of god.
The common minerals that are found in a banana include those like potassium, manganese, magnesium and calcium. In these minerals, potassium is very important for the normal functioning of the heart. The calcium helps to build up the bone and it is also very important. Manganese is a mineral that indirectly helps the body because this is the mineral that helps in absorbing the necessary calcium for the functions of the body.
The bananas also have adequate amount of proteins making them very healthy and also nutritious. It is also tasty and so it can b consumed even by children to gain the benefits of consuming the fruit.
The fiber content of the banana is also high and this also plays a major role in the various functions of the body. The fiber present in the banana helps it to be considered to be a food of choice in people who are suffering from constipation. Intake of banana helps to reduce constipation and help in free passing of stools.
The other conditions for which the banana is very good because of the various nutrients present in them are for hypertension because of the presence of the potassium. The bananas also help to increase the hemoglobin in the blood. This is because of the iron content in the banana. The bananas can also be useful in preventing indigestion in a person. It also helps to prevent acidity or heartburn because a person who consume s banana has the various gastric juices neutralized.
The commonly available food that is having so many minerals and vitamins is a boon not only for the poor man, but also all people. The easy availability and the cheap cost of the banana make this fruit one of its kind. Each and every person should eat bananas to make sure that they have good health. People who have been advised not to eat bananas should restrain themselves because of the calories in the banana and the fact that it can cause an increase in the sugar levels of the individual.
