I was covering the premiere of the film Cuando Volveras by Emilio Vega. A film with not much to offer, 10 minutes into this Spanish film I was ready to leave but it was also raining hard that night! Yes it rains in LA, so I stayed to the bitter end. The story jumped and made little sense, the directing was so bad I thought I was watching a freshman student film. The cast was also horrible with one exception, the lead played by Ricky Brava. This young man did captivate my attention when he was on screen, even if it was hard to watch the rest of the cast. The director needs time to reflect and wonder if he should continue to pursue the entertainment business. The film finally finished and I was relieved, but then the strangest thing happened at the lobby as everybody was leaving. A large crowd of women, young and old were standing in line to have their picture taken with Ricky Brava! I was stunned to see how this young man captivated the ladies as if he was the last coca cola in the desert and they were all thirsty.. but with that being said I also got on line and took my picture with him, and yes he is even more beautiful up close and personal, and very gracious for it all.
