Flash is a program that is made by graphic and computer designers for the use in the various websites that are present. Flash is usually an animated banner that is used to attract the clients or guests visiting a web site. Flash is a computer program that is designed by the computer designer. There are many thousands of websites that use the flash in their sites. The most common reason for the use of the Flash is to make sure that they catch the eye of the person who is visiting the web site. There are various advantages and also some disadvantages of the presence of this Flash on the web site.

Advantages of using Flash:


The flash that is used in the web site is very flashy and it does help to catch the attention of the person visiting the web site. This itself has many advantages as the person will spend a longer time in the site.

It is a simple program and easily installed in a web site:

It is not very difficult for the person to have a flash program installed in the web site. There are actually various designers and programmers who install the flash in the site for a cost.

Disadvantages of Flash in a website:

There are various disadvantages that are associated with the Flash that is installed in a site on the internet. The various disadvantages include:

1. Unnecessary distraction:

Many people consider the Flash programs to be an unnecessary distraction. This is because though the flash programs are said to attract the visitors to the site, the flash only makes sure that the person who has already visited the site is able to view the flash. This does not help much because the person has already visited the site and there is a great chance that the person will just close the flash program and go on with the browsing of the site.

2. Cost involved:

The cost involved in the production of this flash is also something that is very important. This is because there are many web sites that are relatively small and they have a Flash program installed and it is a waste of money and time for the people who are involved in the web site.

3. Search engine optimization is lost:

The use of flash in a web site causes the loss of search engine optimization. There are various sites that try their best to make the site search engine optimized. At the same time, the use of flash in the site makes the search engine confused because of various factors and the site becomes less search engine optimized. This is another reason to avoid the use of flash in sites.

4. File size:

An important factor that people using Flash in their sites should remember is that the size of the file is quite large and this causes the web page to take a long time to reload or even load. This can cause the web site to lose clients and even visitors.

These are the various advantages and also the disadvantages of flash programs.
