Most of the farmers in India are uneducated and do not know the side effects of various fertilizers. The use of artificial fertilizers on land make the land loose its fertility over time. There are many fertilizers available in the market that can benefit the land in return but the farmers are not aware of them and continue fertilizing the land in the traditional way. Indian farmers are not educated enough to understand the contents of various fertilizers and the result of using such fertilizers on land. In fact the soil needs to be tested in order to find out the content of the land and to know what crop will be best suited for it. But the uneducated farmers of India do not know about this and grow any crop on land.

The farmers of India need proper guidance about the quality of their land and what should be grown on it. There is some help given by the government but it is not sufficient. Most of the farmers still cultivate their land in the old way that not only takes much more time but also much more effort. This is the reason why the farmers of India are still so poor.

There are many brands of insecticides and pesticides available in the market but just for the sake of making profit manufacturers manufacture some low quality and cheaply available chemicals and sell them to these farmers. Farmers blindly buy these and use it on their lands without knowing how harmful they can be for their crops. There are many counter effects of using such insecticides and pesticides. There is a need of giving proper guidance to the farmers about using these fertilizers, insecticides and pesticides. Also, the farmers need to be educated about their land and the type of crops that can be grown on them. It is also important to provide them with modern technologies to cultivate their land.
