Grapes are available all over the world. People love grapes. There are very few people who do not like to eat grapes. There are many kinds of grapes too. They come in many shapes and sizes. Some are grown normally and others are hybrid grapes. The most common colors of grapes are green and purple.

Grapes are mainly filled with water, but they have a number of various minerals and nutrients inside them. These minerals include gallic and silic acid, phosphoric acid, lemon acid, formic acid and oxalic acid. They also contain minerals like potassium magnesium, calcium, manganese, cobalt and iron. Grapes also contain various vitamins that include vitamins B1, B2, A6, A12, A, , K and folic acid

The various health benefits of grapes include:

1. Metabolic disorders:

Grapes help to prevent various metabolic disorders. These include those of the liver, kidney, lung and other problems.

2. Laxative:
The high fiber content in grapes is helpful as a laxative. It helps to prevent constipation. The fiber content also helps in decreasing the risk of those people eating grapes from getting colon cancer. The fiber in the grapes helps to increase bulk to the stools. The grapes that also contain a lot of water content in them that acts as a laxative.

3. Hypertension:
Grapes help to prevent hypertension in people who regularly consume them. The grapes also prevent the person from getting diseases like cardiac problems because of the decreased blood pressure.

4. Raisins:
Another important health benefit of grapes are that they help to be converted into raisins. These raisins which come into the dry fruit category itself have many health benefits.

5. Acidity:
The grape and its juice are mildly alkaline. This helps to make the grapes reduce the acidity in the stomach of the person. Many people suffer severely from heartburn that is commonly called as acidity. This acidity is prevented by the grape and its extract. The acidity can even cause cancer in a person. So grape juice helps to prevent cancer of the esophagus by reducing acidity.

6. Energy:
Grapes contain a lot of minerals and vitamins that hive energy to the person consuming it. It can be considered as an energy booster. This is very helpful for old and sick people who feel weak.

7. Blood clots:
Grape juice and wine that is made from it helps in increasing the blood circulation. These help to prevent blood clots. As they prevent the blood clots from occurring, they reduce the risk of a person from getting diseases like heart attacks and stroke as they do not allow emboli and thrombus to form.

These are some of the major health benefits that are got if a person eats grapes. These health benefits are got only if the person eats grapes regularly as part of the diet. The grapes can be eaten either as it is or juice can be made from the grapes. The purple grapes have a large amount of flavonoids in them which help to provide most of the benefits that are present if the grapes are eaten.
