Sushi is a something that many people might have heard about and also tasted. There are also many people who might never heard about sushi. Sushi is one of the very healthy and nutritious diets that can be present. Sushi is a very famous Japanese dish. It contains of raw fish, cooked rice and vegetables. It can also contain other seafood.

Seafood is actually one of the healthiest foods that people eat. Sushi is one of the very few Japanese dishes that are famous outside Japan. There are many different combinations with the Japanese people eat raw fish. The main reason for the many health benefits in sushi is because of the presence of a large amount of omega 3 fatty acid.

The many healthy benefits of sushi are:

1. Heart attacks:

Sushi contains a large amount of omega 3 fatty acid. The presence of this in the fish helps to control the levels of bad cholesterol or low density lipoprotein and also increase the level of high density lipoprotein or the good cholesterol. This helps the person to have good levels of cholesterol and is able to lead a healthy lifestyle. The health benefits of sushi are not limited to the omega 3 fatty acids and the correct levels of cholesterol.

2. Blood pressure:
The person who eats sushi as a regular part of the diet will be able to keep the blood pressure levels within adequate levels. There are various mechanisms involved in keeping the blood pressure in control because of the ingestion of sushi, but omega 3 fatty acids play a major role in this too.

3. Protein:
The sushi that is seafood has a large amount of protein. Protein is very helpful in building up the cells of the body. It is also useful in cell repair. Thus sushi which is very rich in protein will help in tissue and cell build up. It prevents the cell death.

4. Weight loss:
The people who eat food that is rich in protein will have many health benefits and one of the health benefits is a reduction in the weight of the person. Many of the diets that promise to reduce the weight of a person within a few weeks all follow a high protein diet. This is because the protein helps to build up the muscles and also prevent excess intake of fat. This mechanism is the main method of sushi helping in preventing weight gain and reducing obesity.

Some people may not really relish eating sushi because it is raw fish. These people would be better off from not eating these kinds of foods unless they are of the adventurous kind who do not mind trying a new kind of dish.

Other people who have had allergy because of eating sea food should avoid eating sushi because it can also cause allergies and other reactions in those who are already prone to get these kinds of problems.

The above list of health benefits of sushi will make the avid seafood lover to eat more and more of this wonderful dish.
