The many health benefits of peanuts that can keep a person healthy

Peanut is something that is loved by millions of people around the world. Peanuts are a type of nut that is also called as groundnut in some parts of the world. This is because the peanut grown under the ground in a small plant.

There are many health benefits that are related top peanuts. All nuts are actually found to be healthy as they are able to prevent diseases like cardiac problems. Other than this the peanuts have many more health benefits that are listed in this article.

1. Proteins:
Peanuts are a very rich source of protein. The amount of protein contained in peanuts help people to be able to include peanuts in many diets that recommend protein rich food to reduce weight. This is the reason why peanuts are given in the diet of people who are involved in body building and also for people who are under nourished.

2. Heart protection:
Peanuts also contain Coenzyme Q10 which helps in protecting the heart under certain conditions like when a person climbs high altitudes where there is a lack of oxygen.

3. Antioxidants:
Peanuts are also a rich source of various antioxidants like polyphenols that includes p-coumaric acid. This helps to prevent cancer by reducing the amount of free radicals in the body. This is one of the most important health benefits of peanuts. Peanuts contain more antioxidants than many fruits and vegetables like apples, carrots and beetroots

4. Heart and arteries:
Peanuts that are not fried in oil are very good for the arteries of the body. They prevent the formation of atherosclerotic plaques in the walls of the arteries because of the high levels of monunsaturated fat present in peanuts. These monunsaturated fat have been found by researchers to reduce the levels of cholesterol in the blood.

5. Ageing:
Another health benefit of peanut is related to the high content of niacin which is a vitamin in the peanuts. This helps to protect against cell damage in various parts of the body. This helps in age related changes where there can be a lot of cell damage. So a diet of peanut in the regular food can help to protect against diseases like Alzheimer's where there is cell degeneration.

6. Fiber:
The peanuts also contain a high amount of fiber. The fiber protects the body against various diseases. It prevents increase in weight by reducing food intake and hunger. Fiber also helps to prevent diseases like colon cancer and reduces constipation.

7. Calcium:
Peanuts are a rich source of Calcium. This can cause health benefits that are related to the skeletal system. The Calcium helps to build up the bones and prevents danger of osteoporosis.

8. Nutrients:
Peanuts contain a large amount of various nutrients like Vitamins and minerals. Vitamin B and Vitamin E are contained in large amounts. It also contains minerals like calcium, phosphorous, Iron and Potassium. All these help in the regular functioning of the body and also provide various health benefits.

These are the most important and common health benefits that can be got by intake of peanuts.
