The complication of having a high Body Mass Index

The Body Mass Index can be very high in certain people. There are a lot of people who have a high Body Mass Index because of the food habits of the person. If the person has a high Body Mass Index, then it can cause various problems. If the Body Mass Index is between 25 and 29, then it means that the person is mildly overweight and they should start exercising and then have an eye n the amount of calories that they are consuming. This will prevent them from becoming obese.

The person who has a Body Mass Index of 30 or more are said to be obese. When the person has a high Body Mass Index, then the person should take immediate steps to control the Body Mass Index and then reduce it. This article describes the various complications that can arise out of having a very high Body Mass Index.

1. Heart diseases:

The most significant complication that can arise if a person has a high Body Mass Index is the increase in the risk of the heart diseases. The person who is obese according to the body mass index calculation will be at a much greater risk than a person who is not obese but has more weight than what should be present optimally. This risk can be reduced if the high Body Mass Index is reduced by various means. The person with the high Body Mass Index should do adequate exercises and also decreases the consumption of excess calories to make the risk of heart diseases decrease.

2. Blood pressure:

A person with a high Body Mass Index also has the risk of getting high blood pressure. This is a silent killer and should be avoided at all costs. The presence of the high Body Mass Index can make the person to strain and this in turn can cause the person to have hypertension.

3. Diabetes:

It has been found in many studies that people who are prone for getting diabetes are those who have a high Body Mass Index. This risk should also be deceased because when the person has a high Body Mass Index and gets diabetes, the person will also be at risk of getting a silent myocardial infarction. This can make the person to even die during the attack.
4. Combination of diseases:

There are some people in whom, the high Body Mass Index causes the person to get a combination of the diseases mentioned above. The person may get diseases like diabetes, blood pressure and also heart diseases. These people who have a combination of various diseases that was predisposed by the high Body Mass Index are at a very high risk and these people may have significant decrease in their quality of life or a decrease in the life span itself. This is another important reason for a person to reduce the high Body Mass Index in whichever way they are able to.
