The Process of Recruitment in an Organization

The organization that needs to recruit new staff has to do it through a transparent and a correct process for the people in the organization and the people who are out of the organization to be able to get into the recruitment process to be accepted as part of the company. The whole process is not simple, but has various steps in it. This will help to make sure that the right person is selected to work in the company. As the right people are selected to work in the company, the reputation of the company increases and the production of the company also increases.

The whole process where the recruitment of a person into an organization occurs is in various steps and they are as follows.

1. The process by which a job vacancy is identified and potential employees are notified:

This is the first step. One has to identify the need for a new employee in an organization. Once a new post has been created by proper budgeting process, the various potential candidates are notified. This can be done by making advertisements and also various other methods.

2. Recruitment process:

The actual recruitment process starts in this step. The nature of the recruitment process is regulated and subject to employment law. O the proper laws have to be adhered to when one starts the process of recruitment. This mainly means that there should be no discrimination or any other kind of differences being considered in the process of recruitment.

3. Advertisement process:

There are various means of advertisements that can be done through various mediums. The main forms of recruitment through advertising in newspapers, magazines, trade papers and internal vacancy lists. This is a very important phase and itself is a very big process. The whole process takes a lot of time and there should be specific methods of receiving the various application forms and also to assess them and shortlist the candidates depending on the initial assessment of their applications and also their resumes.

4. Job de script ion:

The job de script ion of the individual should also be listed properly as this will help the person to have no problems with other people. An outline of the role of the job holder or the person who is going to be occupying the position should be specific and should not overlap with the role of any other person in the organization.

5. Person specification:

Other than the job de script ion, the person specification is also very important. This is because it gives an outline of the skills and qualities required of the post holder. This will help the person who is appointed in that particular post to be able to have his duties and responsibilities clear. This will also help the person to do their function to the bets of their ability without any fear of going wrong.

These are the various methods of finding the right person for the right job. This will help the management to identify a new post and recruit a person who is right for that particular post.
