What is Revenge? Revenge is an expression of emotional hatredness shown by us, when others do something harm. When we have got the mindset to forgive, we can keep away from all diseases. To keep the mind and body healthy, we should not think about taking revenge for the harmful acts of others. They might have deceived us or made us to suffer a loss. There is no use in giving back what we have received. Forgiving others is considered a divine quality. If we learn to love our enemies, there won't be any enemies for us. If others curse us, we have to pray for them and do possible goods for them until they realize our real qualities. They may feel ashamed and try to correct themselves. It is not possible to avoid conflicts in life but we should not carry over the feelings of vengeance always. We should console ourselves and try to take a decision calmly, which is good for all. Maintaining relationship with others is a big task. If others hurt by their words and act, we can tolerate and show that we are not at all affected. We need not degrade ourselves by showing our anger and exposing the faults of others. We should not hate anybody and make us weak. We can enjoy full happiness by overcoming evil by our good deeds. The history remembers the persons who showed good against evil and not who took revenge on others. Those who do harm to us are not to be punished, but they need psychological treatment. The human life is a gift given to us by God and we should not waste it by doing evil things. Taking revenge is a kid of sadism. Instead of giving punishment in a rude way, we can punish the wrongdoers by forgiving them since forgiveness is the greatest punishment. Some people feel that taking revenge is a concept of justice so that the opponent should also undergo the same sufferings like us and realize our feelings. But, taking revenge is not so sweet, when it comes into action. Life is short and we should make it sweet. If we divert our mind in taking revenge, against wrongdoers, our precious time will be wasted and we may repent afterwards for our silly behavior. By taking revenge, we are corrupting ourselves. It is not worth to take revenge, by degrading ourselves. Instead, we can keep our position in a elevated status by showing generosity. If we start hitting when somebody hits us, there won't be any end and the rivalry will continue forever. We need not decide what they deserve. We can leave everything to God to decide. We can surrender everything to God and ask him to decide. Our quality should be nice to all. We should not change our character for anything. Taking revenge is not so sweet and by forgiving the wrongdoer we can lead a dignified life.
