Suicide bombers are a new breed of fighters sweeping the world. Suicide bombers were unheard of till a few years ago. But now, in every part of the world, youth who have been brain washed into believing certain things have been converted into mechanical beings.

These kind of fighters were mainly introduced by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam. These were the fighters who were fighting for a separate autonomy for the Tamil people living in Sri Lanka. To take the battle a step higher, the youth who were fighting for the LTTE were asked by their leader to wear cyanide capsules and to eat it and die rather than being captured alive.

They also started strapping explosives around themselves and blew themselves up killing many leaders like Sri Lankan president Premadasa and the former Indian Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi.

These suicide bombers were highly successful in their goal to inflict maximum casualty on their ‘enemy'. This made other organizations like the Hamas to start suicide bombings. Jihadists all over the world started embracing suicide attacks as a path to glory. When Al Quaeda attacked the United States with their plane crashes into the twin towers, the battle had reached a step higher.

When the world thought that this was the maximum that terrorists could do, the Mumbai attacks of 2008 unfolded. This time there were no suicide bombers, but suicide attacks in fidayeen style attacks killed many people.

So what makes these kind of attacks unstoppable?

1. Their will to die: When someone wants to escape after killing someone, there is a chance of failure. But in suicide attacks, the person is ready to give his life. So it is a battle to the end.

2. Brainwashed individuals: The suicide attacks are preplanned and the attacker is brainwashed into killing. So he is transformed into a killing machine. They are calm with no emotion. They do not look like people who know that they are going to die in a few minutes.

3. Preparation: The preparation of individuals is backed by organizations that give them training and prepare them well.

In spite of this, security agencies have been able to decrease the number of such attacks. The best example of this is the Israeli governments preparation. They have been able to identify suicide bombers from their body language. There is only a subtle change, but the security agencies have been able to identify this and neutralize them.

More training to the security agencies on the same lines followed by the Israelites will make it possible to control the menace of suicide bombing.
