The pillars on which the success of a good relationship stands upon are Trust, Understanding, Love, Compassion, Communication and to forgive and forget!!!

In today's world not many have been successful to nurture a strong relationship be it from the celebrities' right to people like us. Misunderstanding and ever growing competition have lead to discrepancies between individuals which in turn leads to hatred and fights.

Just as a table can't balance if one of its legs gives away, similarly a relationship can't stand if one of its pillars gets compromised. We need to nurture and care for a relationship right from the start just as we care for a seedling until it grows into a plant. After which also care must be taken so that the plant doesn't wilt away.

Imagine a thread to be a relation, when we cut the thread anywhere and try to put it back by tying both the pieces together leaves a knot in between. Similarly a relation once broken can't be put back together, as no matter how hard you try there still remains a big gap which can't be filled.

There needs to be a proper balance between the pillars on which your relation is going to stand.

Communication:
People should try and open up to one another regarding their views, thoughts. This is necessary because if we don't speak up it leaves a big gap in between which then becomes difficult to fill. This also includes active listening to what the other person has to say.

Understanding:
The necessary ingredient to understand a person is to listen to what they have to say, their views, thoughts without contesting what they have said. If you could understand a person completely, then you can also trust that person completely.

Trust:
This is the most important factor. We should not misjudge a person by his/her doings. The trust should be like that of a baby thrown up in the air, who knows that you will catch him when he comes down.

Love:
If you judge people, you have no time to love them. Love should be pure and unconditional. There should be no factor that would give rise to jealousy.

Every one of us in this world should try our level best to forgive and forget certain things that un-necessarily cause tensions between individuals. Forgiving and forgetting such small things do matter as these blow up into large issues which then become difficult to solve.

So folks be the change for ourselves and don't always expect a lot from your relationship. Let it take its own course just like a river. Success of a good relationship is always mutual.
