Slimming down is not easy normally. People go to great lengths to slim up. They go on a diet which is the most common activity resorted to. But it gives limited success. This is because the person usually cannot resist temptation.

Another reason is that physiologically dieting is not the best way to reduce weight and slim down.

The best and effective way of slimming down is doing Exercises.

Benefits of Exercise
1. It improves the cardiovascular efficiency,in lay terms, the circulation.
2. It helps in building up muscle.
3. It helps in burning more calories.
4. It helps the person get a feeling of well being

When a person exercises, the heart rate increases to keep up with the speed of activity. This increases the circulation to help the blood reach different parts of the body. This is to allow the tissues to get Oxygen. That is why we feel invigorated after exercising.

When we exercise, it builds up muscle tissue. This is because the muscle undergoes repeated activity and gets strengthened. That is why weight lifters start out with little muscle tissue and slowly build up muscle after exercising. The benifit is that muscle burns more calories and helps in slimming up.

When the blood goes to different tissues as a result of exercises, it helps to supply Oxygen the life giving gas which is needed in our body. This creates a feeling of well being and leaves the person invigorated after exercising.

Precautions during Exercises
Always start exercises after warm up and finish exercising with a 'cool down' period. This helps in getting the heart accustomed to the sudden changes in the activity levels.
This also tones the muscles and stretches them preventing a muscle strain or tear.

Older people should only start exercising after consulting a Physician on their general health status.

This will help a person in slimming down and stay slim.
