Saying Goodbye to Michael JacksonBY: lenlen79 | Category: Entertainment | Post Date: 2009-07-02
The entertainment world is not the same anymore..not without the King of Pop-Michael Jackson. This is a reality that everyone has to face from now on. I couldn't believe the news about his death. But when it was confirmed , I felt sad and cried a bit..like some part of me died..felt empty and it was just a feeling of unexplained sadness inside me. I felt this way because I considered Michael Jackson a part of my life. I remember singing his songs like Ben, I'll Be There and One Day In Your Life. I sang along with him during Christmas with his Christmas version of I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus..complete with his dialogue " I did..I really did see Mommy Kissing Santa Claus"... As I grew older, his songs were getting harder to sing along with. I preferred to listen and dance along with his music..the likes of Bad, Beat It, Thriller, Billie Jean, Black and White,, and a lot more were included in my cd collection way back then. I think it was Michael Jackson's music video of THRILLER that made me realize that zombies were not that scary anymore..yes, those scary costumes and monstrous faces dancing in the music video with him were certainly the groovy ones! I just have to thank Michael for his music. I thank him for sharing his talent with the world. I thank him for being a good father to his kids. I thank him for the charities he supported. I thank him for his black and white outfits, his sequiend glove , his black hat, his white socks and black shoes, and most of all.. his world renowned moonwalk dance....A lot more thanks for showing the world that real talent has no color or race... Goodbye Michael J. Thank you for existing during my lifetime. You were gone too soon...but your legacy and music will live on for the next generation to come.
