Time is one of the most important commodities for all of us. We keep saying that we did not have time to do a work or a chore either at work or at home. So what happens in the 24 hours that we have each day in a week? Of course all of us are busy at some point in our life. The important thing is to balance our time and try to set some time for all that is important and needs to be done.

Saying that we did not have time to do something is like accepting the fact that we are incapable of managing the time efficiently. There are a few important aspects of saving time. They are as follows:

1. Multitask: There are times when we can do more than a single work. In fact it is something like serving two masters at the same time. The two tasks can be something like eating while reading the newspaper or pof setting apart a separate time for a certain activity, a combination of activities can be done at a specific time.

2. Make a To do list: This will help us plan the next activity beforehand. We also do not keep reminding ourselves of the different things we have to do. If you jot down the activities that need to be done, then it will be easier for you to remember the activity. Also you can set apart time for each activity. This improves the efficiency also.

3. Stick to deadlines: If you have the habit of sticking to deadlines, you will note that there is a lot of time available for other activities.

4. Do not postpone: As you keep postponing a work, you feel as if you do not have time for anything else till you complete the activity. So the best method of saving time is to avoid postponing any work.

5. Keep a log: Always keep a log of the activities that you are doing. If you analyze the time you spend on different activities in a week, you will know which activities are eating up your time. When you have a log, you will know where you are spending more time and where you need to cut down. This will help you to save time spent unnecessarily.

Modifying the work and activities in line with the ideas listed above will help you to save more time that can be used for other activities.
