For an Indian Women becoming a mother is a proud thing. She always prefers spending the time with her baby. We may see well educated and talented women sacrificing her job for the sake of her baby. Although it is tough challenge to bring up a child, a mother really enjoy doing it. In a general perspective, one may think "Why does she sacrifice her career, to nurture a baby, why doesn't she take her baby into a baby sitting facility? How can a highly dignified and educated woman cleans her baby and all the mess baby creates all over the home?"

But there is a saying a regional language which means "For a woman who has delivered the baby, that is the most lovable thing, even if she had delivered an animal". So, whatever is the status or the profile of a woman, she would really feel like nurturing her baby herself. When a woman loves her baby very much, she would naturally be worried about whether the maid servant would nurture her baby properly or not. So it makes her to feel like it is her own duty which cannot be delegated.

So one need not feel sympathy about a woman who sacrifices her career to bring up her child. Instead one should support it. The duration of maternity leave is no where enough to do her duty as a mother. Instead, we may have the law to allow the maternity leave for a year and we can limit such leaves only while delivering her first child. The service and sacrifice of a mother is of great help in making our future generation happy and prosperous. So, only there is a saying, "If a man has been educated, one person gets educated. But if a woman has been educated, a family gets educated"
