Sachin Tendulkar is a cricket player who has caught the imagination of all cricket lovers of the world. At present he is one of the leading run getters in international cricket. He has the most number of runs scored in both Test cricket as well as One day international cricket. His total from both these formats of cricket has crossed 30,000. This is an unprecedented number of runs. This is the reason he is being called as a run machine. In fact, there may be no one who will ever be able to beat his scores with the cricketing world and the public alike changing their liking to the shorter form of the game. Though Sachin Tendulkar has the most number of runs, it may not mean that he is the best cricketer ever. This is because it needs analyses to see if there was anyone who was better at the technique, and the various playing conditions should also be taken into consideration. 1. Technique: Sachin Tendulkar has a good technique while he bats. He is composed and also has a hunger for runs. This has made him survive 2. Fitness: The fitness of any cricketer is very important. The fitness level makes or breaks the cricketer. Many promising cricketing careers have been cut short by injuries because of the inability of the player to cope and also because of the poor fitness levels of the cricketer. Sachin Tendulkar has made sure that he does not lose out because of fitness problems. He has had his own share of problems with fitness, but they have been minor and he has been able to carry on over the years. 3. Commitment: The commitment of any cricketer is also very important. The cricketer may lose focus once he becomes very famous. Though Sachin Tendulkar has been playing from a very early age, he has been able to maintain his commitment and has made sure that he still has it at the end of his career. 4. Endurance: The endurance of a cricket player is very important just like the fitness. Sachin Tendulkar has had endurance that has beaten many people. He has been playing both in the Test matches and also One day international cricket for more than twenty years and this also makes him very unique. 5. Averages: Sachin's averages are very good, but they are not the best. In fact Don Bradman will beat him hands down any day because of his high average after playing for all those years. This makes one wonder if Sachin Tendulkar is on par with the Don. 6. Equipment: In the days when the Don played, there were no protective equipment and in spite of this, he scored all those runs at a frenetic pace. This makes him braver and better than Sachin Tendulkar in certain aspects, though Sachin Tendulkar too has been brave in the face of various problems. Taking all these into account, one is not sure if Sachin is the best as both the Don and Sachin have been best in certain ways. It can safely be said that both the Don and Sachin Tendulkar are great players and cannot be compared to each other.
