Quality assurance is a self explanatory term which refers to the quality of a particular product or a particular service that has been provided by one individual or a company. The evaluation and checking of the product or the service is the basis of quality assurance.

There are many methods of quality assurance that includes stringent checking of various products that are being promoted by the company or manufactured by the company. If the products are able to pass these stringent tests, then they are supposed to have passed the quality assurance tests. The quality assurance tests vary from product to product and also based on the service provided.

There are certain aims of quality assurance and these are listed here in this article as follows:

Aims of Quality Assurance:

1. To examine the product in a systematic and comprehensive manner:

This is the primary aim of quality assurance. The product has to be examined in a systematic manner to identify any errors that may be present. If these are identified, then the product is said to have failed the quality assurance. After the examination, the product if it meets the requirements is considered to be good and if it is not, then the next stage of the quality assurance procedure comes into effect.

2. To identify areas in which standards have not been met and correct them:

The product that has not met the exact criteria in quality assurance should be identified immediately. This is because the product may be having the potential to cause damage to the people who use the product. This should be avoided as much as possible. Quality assurance checks of various services and products help the company and also outside auditors or government officials to check these products and then correct the production methods and improve the quality and standard of the product.

Purposes of Quality Assurance:

Improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the services:

The primary purpose of the quality assurance is to have a feedback on the products and make sure that there is a continuous development, research and also efficiency and effectiveness of the service or product.

Stimulate research efforts:

The research efforts are usually made to learn more about the relationship between interventions and expected outcome. This is very useful to improve services and products. Other than the improvement, there are new products that can be made with the innovative research that is possible.

Identify and address the various problems:

The various problems in the product and various services available are all identified and improvement and the various procedures and outcome are done. This is another important purpose of the quality assurance. The problems may be in the working of the product or the structure of the product itself. All these can be identified and addressed through regular quality assurance checks.

Quality assurance is one of the most important advancements in the development of various products and the provision of specific services. Quality assurance also helps to provide good quality stuff to the public. It has become an integral part of every business.
