There are medicines to cure illness. In addition to taking medicines, sometimes, by doing regular physical exercise we would get complete relief. The study of physiotherapy is a branch of medicine to deal with therapeutic treatment of doing physical exercises and other activities that help to promote health and ensure proper functioning of our organs. The physiotherapy treatment helps for restoration of the body to the normal condition. The study of physiotherapy includes the body condition of the patient such as his posture, body balance and normal movement, the knowledge of diseases he had, injury and the healing process by giving required treatment. The physiotherapy treatment is a form of treatment used for curing and prevention of diseases.

The physiotherapist job brings satisfaction to the patient and the physiotherapist feels happy if the patient treated by him get relief from ailment. The physiotherapists help the patients to recover and rehabilitate. The physiotherapist should have a thorough knowledge about the functioning of muscles, bones and nerves. Their prime duty involves examination of the condition of the patient, giving treatment and advice to get complete cure/relief from pain/illness. They should evaluate, diagnose and take proper care to cure the disease or illness by choosing the right type of treatment such as heat radiation, water therapy, massages, wax bath, ice therapy, diathermy and traction.

They maintain the individual's history and record all details of treatment given. They use many techniques like ultrasound technique, acupuncture and electrical stimulation to treat the patients. In the field of physiotherapy, specialists are available for various problems in neurology, pediatrics, cardiology and orthopedics. The patients suffering from the diseases like paralysis, muscle and joints pain, nerve injuries, post-accident trauma and post-burn complications take physiotherapy treatment as part of normal treatment. The physiotherapists bring realistic hope in the life of the patients.

Who can do physiotherapy exercises: The physiotherapists would test and tell the form of exercise required. The sports persons while playing often get ankle or knee injuries, sprain or other illness. The physically challenged people could get improvement to an extent by following regular physical exercises, as per the advice of the physiotherapist. Along with oral medicines suggested by doctors, the physical exercises have to be done. The physiotherapy exercises are strongly recommended for persons suffering from arthritis and neurological problems. The physiotherapists suggest methods to avoid injuries, maintain joints properly, to sit, walk and sleep in correct position.

The physiotherapist get the job after completing degree or diploma in the field of physiotherapy and get employment in hospitals, outpatient clinics, fitness centers, rehabilitation centers and research centers. In the world, about 70% of the people suffer from back pain and they need the help of physiotherapists to get relief. The ultimate aim of physiotherapy is to ensure restoration of functional independence of the patients. The patients should do the exercise regularly, repeat it for several times, do slowly and steadily. They should follow the advice of the physiotherapists correctly to get fruitful result. If any discomfort is noticed, the patients should inform it to the physiotherapists immediately in order to help them to change the form of treatment.
