Kids look good if they are chubby. Adults always like children who are chubby and cuddly. If a child is skinny, the parents try to feed the child and try to make the child chubbier. This may not always be the best idea. Children who are chubby have a higher chance of becoming obese when they grow older. This has been validated by research. So the important thing for parents is to ensure that the child is healthy. Even if the child is skinny, as far as the child is healthy, there is nothing to worry. How can we make the child more active and prevent the child from being obese? . Here are a few simple ideas to make the parents try to make their child more active. 1. Less Television: . When the child watches television, they are rooted to a single place. There is very little physical activity. This makes the child to be at a higher risk of becoming obese. The best method to prevent this is to make sure that the child does not watch television for a long time. For parents, making the child watch television is a simple option to keep the child engaged while they are able to concentrate on their work. But this option may harm the child on the long run. So it is better to restrict the number of programmes the child watches on television. 2. More activity: . Increase in the amount of physical activity that a child does will help to decrease the chance of the child becoming obese. Increase in physical activity, can be done by encouraging the child to walk around the house. Encourage the child to climb steps instead of taking the elevator. 3. Increase your activity: . Children keep watching their parents at all times. They try to imitate their parents. So if as a parent, you do not do much of exercises, your child is prone to follow your footsteps and may not do a lot of exercise. So, as you exercise, your child will also increase its activity level. 4. Outdoor activities: . All children who spend a specific amount of time outdoor everyday will be healthier. Not only does it increase their physical activity, but it also makes sure that they get natural air. This helps them to improve their respiratory system. Following these simple ideas will help your child to lead a healthy lifestyle. This will go a long way in preventing the child from getting any diseases.
