Sore throat is a common problem that we all encounter. This is the first sign of a cold and people who are affected by flu will have sore throat. Though the common cause of the sore throat is the flu, there are also various other causes of sore throat in people. These causes may also change the various symptoms of the disease. This article lists the common causes and also the symptoms of sore throat.

There are also many natural methods of relieving the various symptoms of sore throat and also curing it.

Causes of sore throat:

The common cold is the primary cause of the sore throat and other than this influenza also can cause sore throat in people. The other causes of sore throat include conditions such as influenza, measles and also diphtheria, though these are not as common as the first two causes of sore throat.

Symptoms of sore throat:

The various symptoms of sore throat include irritation of the throat. The person feels as if there is something in the throat that is trying to cut into the throat. This irritation of the throat can also manifest as pain in the throat. The older people who get sore throat complain of pain in the throat. Other than the pain and irritation, the person can also have chills and fever that is associated with the sore throat.

Some people may also have swollen lymph glands that are associated with the pain in the throat. This can cause the person to have difficulty in swallowing various things including even liquids. These are the various symptoms of sore throat.

Natural remedies for sore throat:

There are many natural methods that can help to reduce the severity and even cure the sore throat. These include the following.

1. Gargling:

The gargle is the simplest and most effective home remedy for a sore throat. The person can gargle with either salt water or also aloe vera juice. This can be done at east two times a day to be more effective.

2. Garlic:

Garlic is also good to cure the sore throat. Garlic is one of the best natural foods that have many benefits if consumed regularly. It helps to prevent the person to have difficulty in swallowing if it is eaten during a sore throat.

3. A mixture made of lemon juice, hot water and also honey is another important method in which the person can treat the sore throat effectively. This is because this can prevent the person's symptoms from getting worse. This is a common treatment that is being followed by many people all over the world because of the effectiveness of the method.

4. Tea:

Tea can be prepared with various other kinds of foods like Basil leaves and this can help to reduce the severity of the condition. Other types of tea that will help to reduce the sore throat include honeysuckle or marshmallow root.

These are the various natural remedies that will help to immediately cure the person of the symptoms of sore throat.
