Children do not know the seriousness of fire and so they may play with dangerous things like matches and even a fire or candles. These are the most common causes of fire accidents. Children are more vulnerable to fire accidents than adults because they do not know the danger and they do not fear fire.
3. Keep fire extinguishers or sand in a bucket:

They are slowly overtaking the number of cooking accidents to become a leading cause of fire accidents. Faulty connections, sub standard electrical appliances, overloading a single socket with many types of electrical equipment are also common causes of fires. Avoiding such things can help to make the house fire proof.
6. Do not install switches where they can get wet:
Short circuit and fire accidents occur when a live wire comes into contact with water. So avoiding such contact can prevent fires.
All electrical lines must be properly installed and earthed. This will also minimize the risk of fire accidents.
8. Smoke detectors:
To prevent the risk of fires, smoke detectors can be installed in houses. This will help to identify the presence of even a small fire and it can prevent the fire disaster multiplying to dangerous proportions and causing damage to more life and property.
